Believe in the Season Blog Hop!

Welcome to my blog for the Simon Says Stamp Believe in the Season blog hop! Do you love what you've seen so far?? I love hops for all the inspiration! This release is a stunner!!

I've created a card using unconventional colors... I seem to be stuck in a very pastel mood, I'm thinking if I avoid fall colors then cold winter weather won't come. Ha! One can only wish.
I've white embossed a Color Me tree and used Distress inks for my paint.

This next Circle Doodle background stamp is a winner... so versatile and great for any occasion! I white embossed it onto vellum and colored the backside with Copic markers. This technique would also be great with gold or silver embossing for a more dramatic effect.

I hope you've found some inspiration in my creations. Below I have a list of all the stops for the hop.

We're trying something a little different this time. I get to choose a winner for a Simon Says Stamp $25 gift card from my blog comments and or social media posts. Make sure to comment below or on my social media platforms for a chance to win. I'll be using the hashtag #sssbelieve for projects I've created from this release. I'll be picking a winner on Friday, October 28th. Good luck everyone!!

Your next and final stop on the hop is to the talented Heather Hoffman

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend!!

Hero Arts ThanksGiving for STAMPtember®!!

Oh Boy... this one's a beauty!!! Have you seen the Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set Happy Thanksgiving from Hero Arts?  Simply Lovely!!! I created a card which focuses on the greetings from the stamp set.

I did a simple watercolor where I added puddles of Distress inks... but the trick to this was to dry each color before applying more. It was fun to put together colors of fall!

Once I was done painting the background, I spritzed it with water and blotted up the color with a towel. Next, I die cut the Thanks Giving greeting 4 times from Desert Storm cardstock and glued them together using a glue pen. I finished up the greeting by white embossing "blessings" onto the back of some Sunshine Glimmer Paper

I hope you've enjoyed a quick inspiration to start out your weekend!! I'll see you soon!
